Interventions were education on smoke exposure screening and Helpline referrals, standardizing documentation for screening and discharge instructions, visual reminders, and Helpline wallet cards.

We sought to increase smoke exposure screening, smoking cessation education, and referrals in our community hospital pediatric population. Few smoking cessation studies in inpatient pediatrics are formal quality improvement projects and most are at academic institutions.
